Reaction Paper to el Presedente

           The movie is based on the life of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo the first president of Philippine republic. It aims to present a comprehensive narration of his life including the  triumphs and downfalls, achievements and controversial issues linked with Andres Bonifacio, the supremo of katipunan. At first  I'm not interested in watching because I thought it would be boring for us teenagers to watch that kind of movie. But i realized that it would be nice for me as a student or should i say it would be helpful references to know about life of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo and how the first Philippine president edent fights for our freedom. A side from it is required to make a reaction paper.

    

            The movies entails the reality of how the filipino people shows the love for the country of nationalism spite of sacrificing there own lives that we must honor and practice in our own existence. However it is not necessary for us to fight until death but, a simple appreciation of pride with our national identity is a good example of nationalism. Considering the setting of the where the movie was taken, the preservation of our culture among our ansectors is noticeable like the way of living which we might be less familiar with, thereby increasing cross cultural awareness and understanding.

    

            Moreover, one of the fascinating scenes of the movie that caught my attention was the election of the first Government of the Philippines that result into tension between delegates wherein one of the affiliates of the election named Daniel Tirona averted the nomination of Andres Bonifacio as a secretary interior local wherein he emphasized that the supremo is not qualified to cater the position as he is not expected with laws due to his poor educational attainments. Therefore, it is proven that ever since before grab mentality is present in which a filipino drags down a fellow citizen for selfish desires.
